SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Recent revelations shed light on the devastating collision that claimed the lives of an entire family of four at a San Francisco bus stop last Saturday.
The 78-year-old driver responsible for the accident has been discharged from the hospital.
In a poignant turn of events, family members have disclosed that the organs of the youngest victim, a 3-month-old infant, were graciously donated.
Tragically, the infant succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash on Wednesday.
The baby’s parents and sibling perished over the weekend. In the wake of this profound loss, the family expresses gratitude to the community for their unwavering support.
In a statement, the family reflected on Diego and Matilde as epitomizing life enhancers — individuals universally cherished for their positive impact on others.
“We cherished Diego, Matilde, Jaoquim, and Cau deeply, and we are certain that the love they extended to their family and friends will endure as their lasting legacy,” the statement reads in part.
