Jool Baby, a leader in innovative childcare solutions, is set to feature its inclusive potty training products in the upcoming book The Adaptive Toolkit for Potty Training Children with Disabilities (April 2025). The book aims to support an estimated 50 million children with disabilities worldwide who are potty training.
“Every family deserves products that make potty training easier and more dignified,” says Judah Bergman, Founder and President of Jool Baby. “As parents, we know that every child’s development is unique. Our goal is to create accessible solutions that help families during this important stage.”
The Adaptive Toolkit for Potty Training Children with Disabilities, co-authored by potty training expert Allison Jandu and supported by Taryn Lagonigro and Jess Quarello of Extra Lucky Moms, provides practical advice for families of children with disabilities. It covers topics such as preparation techniques, considerations for conditions like Down syndrome, Autism, and Cerebral Palsy, and strategies for creating accessible environments.
Research shows that children with disabilities may need an additional year for potty training compared to their neurotypical peers. Jool Baby’s products aim to address these challenges with designs that promote independence and dignity. Featured products in the book include:
- The Handled Potty Chair, designed with supportive features and a realistic toilet appearance
- The award-winning Foldable Potty Seat, equipped with eight suction cups for stability
- The Ready Step Go Potty Ladder, offering adjustable height, a cushioned seat, and splash guard
- The Portable Potty Chair with Travel Bag, featuring a compact design, non-slip grips, and custom-fit liners
- The Real Feel Potty, which includes flushing sounds, storage for wipes, and a cushioned seat that can be used on full-size toilets
Taryn Lagonigro, a contributor to the book, praises Jool Baby’s commitment to inclusion, stating, “Jool Baby’s focus on the disability community shows that their dedication to inclusion goes beyond trends. It’s a true commitment to all families.”
