Hilaria Baldwin recently opened up about undergoing a breast lift after the birth of her seventh child with her husband, Alec Baldwin.
In an episode of The Baldwins aired on Sunday, the 41-year-old yoga instructor shared her decision to have the procedure. “Since I was breastfeeding for so long, it was one of these things I decided to do, like, a little up,” she explained.
Hilaria, who has been pregnant or breastfeeding for more than a decade, noted that this was the first time in years she wasn’t either pregnant or nursing. She and Alec have seven children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, María Lucía, 4, and Ilaria, 2.
She admitted that as her family grew, she began feeling disconnected from her body. “It almost felt like my body wasn’t my body anymore,” she said on the TLC reality show. To address these feelings, Hilaria opted for the breast lift to help her feel “OK” again.
However, she also expressed concerns about the impact her decision could have on her eldest daughter, Carmen. “Anytime I do something in the realm of vanity, I don’t want them to feel that they have to be a certain way,” she explained, adding that she wanted to protect Carmen from the self-doubt she had experienced in the past.
Alec and Hilaria have been sharing insights into their family life in The Baldwins, a reality show that debuted in February. While the future of the series remains uncertain, Alec jokingly mentioned that their children are negotiating for more money before agreeing to more filming. “They want more money — they want a lot more money,” he said at the grand reopening of Planet Hollywood in Times Square.
