2,300 bottles of Benadryl Liquid Elixir Recalled Due to Lack of Child-Resistant Packaging

by daisy

Arsell Inc. has voluntarily recalled approximately 2,300 bottles of Benadryl Liquid Elixir (100 mL) due to a packaging issue that poses a poisoning risk to young children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced. The affected product does not meet the required child-resistant standards under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.

The recalled bottles, which contain diphenhydramine (an antihistamine), were sold in round, dark plastic containers with a pink and white label. They were available for purchase on Amazon.com between July 2023 and October 2024, priced between $16 and $19. The product was manufactured in Canada and packaged in a paper box with the code “X003VRIGUL” on the label.
