Florissant Woman Killed, Baby in Critical Condition in Three-Vehicle Crash on North Broadway

ST. LOUIS – A Florissant woman was killed, and an infant is in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash in north St. Louis on Saturday evening.

The crash occurred just after 10 p.m. near North Broadway and North Calvary Avenue, in the city’s North Riverfront area. Police say a Mazda 6 was speeding south on North Broadway when it crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with a Jeep Wrangler. The impact caused the Jeep to flip over.

A Chevrolet Malibu, also traveling north, was also struck by the Mazda. The driver of the Jeep, a 31-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital where she later died. A 5-month-old child in the Jeep was hospitalized and is in critical condition.

The driver of the Malibu was taken to the hospital but is in stable condition. Three juveniles were also transported to the hospital and are stable. It is unclear whether they were in the Jeep or Malibu.

The driver of the Mazda 6 was taken to a local hospital by an unknown person and is in stable condition.
