The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System’s Women Veterans Program recently hosted a heartwarming “Warrior Moms” baby shower at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida, drawing over 46 expectant mothers from across the region.

This unique event aimed to celebrate the journeys of soon-to-be moms, offering a supportive and joyful atmosphere. Women Veterans from North Florida and South Georgia, including some from Tallahassee, Waycross, and Valdosta, attended the special occasion. The shower took place at the VA Medical Center’s valet driveway and featured a drive-thru format that added convenience and comfort for participants.

For many, this is the only baby shower they receive, making it a heartwarming and meaningful occasion.”
