Hartford firefighters had a heartwarming Valentine’s Day reunion this year, as they celebrated the first birthday of the baby girl they saved last year.
About a year ago, Hartford Fire Lt. Nelson Viera, Pump Operator Justin Ford, Firefighter Samuel Caraballo, and Firefighter Evan Seals responded to a call on Sherbrooke Avenue about a 2-week-old baby who had stopped breathing. The team performed CPR and successfully revived the baby girl.
On Friday, that same baby, Alinah, celebrated her first birthday. Her parents, Francheska and Anthony, brought her to the firehouse to meet the heroes who saved her life.
“Thank you so much for everything you do for us here in Hartford. Thank you for saving my baby’s life. Words can’t express how grateful we are. God bless you all,” Francheska said to the firefighters.
