Little Poppets & Co, a family-run nursery goods shop in Sevenoaks, has gone into liquidation, leaving many customers without the products they paid for. The shop, which sold baby items such as prams and car seats, unexpectedly shut its doors, prompting some customers to contact Kent Police after not receiving their orders.
A father who had paid for nursery stock but didn’t receive it reported the issue to the authorities. The case was later passed to Action Fraud, the national center for fraud and cybercrime. Recently, Companies House confirmed that Little Poppets & Co, a limited company, has officially appointed a liquidator.
Customers, both past and present, have turned to Facebook to express their frustration and seek answers about the company’s closure. Many are asking how they can either receive their goods or get a refund.
Some customers paid significant amounts for products they never received, including one who spent £2,085 on a pram and car seat, and another who paid £1,600 for an Egg pram travel bundle. Several individuals mentioned they paid through bank transfers, with some expecting delivery in November or before the end of December.
According to Companies House, insolvency expert Michael Royce from MR Insolvency was appointed as the liquidator on January 10. This marks the official start of the winding-up process for Little Poppets & Co.
The store, which opened in 2012 on St John’s Hill, had offered products from well-known brands such as iCandy, Bugaboo, Egg, Dubatti, Babystyle, Silver Cross, Bebecar, and Venicci.
