Waverly Health Center (WHC) celebrated the arrival of its first baby of the year on Thursday, January 2, at 6:03 a.m. The newborn, named Suede Dean Faust, was welcomed by parents Kennedy and Scott Faust, marking the family’s second child born at the hospital.
Suede, who weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces at birth, made a memorable entrance as the first baby born at WHC in 2025. His arrival has already filled his family and the hospital with joy.
This marks the second child for the Faust family at WHC, a place that holds a special significance for them. Suede joins his older brother, Wyatt, who is two years old. The family expressed their happiness at having both boys home, looking forward to their future together.
As with Wyatt, Suede will receive care from Dr. Stacy Wagner and the pediatric team at Christophel Clinic, ensuring the newborn is well-supported through his early milestones.
“We absolutely love it here, and the care we receive is worth the drive from Independence,” Kennedy Faust said in a statement.
In celebration of Suede’s arrival, WHC presented the Faust family with a special “First Baby Basket,” filled with receiving blankets, toys, and other goodies for both parents and baby. The baskets were generously provided by the hospital, Center Pharmacy, and the WHC Auxiliary.
The Faust family is excited for the new adventures that come with their growing family, and WHC is honored to be part of their journey as they begin this exciting new chapter.
