Real Health Chiropractic Clinic is organizing its inaugural Community Baby Shower to support mothers, pregnant women, their families, and grandparents. Scheduled for Saturday, June 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. at 8901 Aztec Drive, Eden Prairie, the event aims to provide a supportive environment and valuable resources for attendees.
ShaRhae Matousek, a chiropractor and the event’s organizer, emphasizes the challenges faced by expecting and new mothers in finding community and care. The event will feature discussions with five local providers specializing in maternal and pediatric healthcare, including Oasis Lactation Services, Release and Breathe Dentistry, Mama Earth, a pediatric occupational therapist, and early childhood family education specialist Kathy Matthews.
Attendees are encouraged to bring questions on topics ranging from pregnancy and lactation issues to baby sleep problems and post-partum depression. A nursing station will be available, and the event welcomes children with activities like a bouncy house, weather permitting.
Local businesses are contributing to the event with shower gifts for a free raffle, including a nursery paint job from CertaPro Painters and lactation stations from The Good Organizer. Gift bags for 50 participants will include essential items like feeding supplies and nipple cream.
Real Health Chiropractic Clinic, celebrating 25 years in Eden Prairie, also hosts monthly lactation groups and other community events aimed at supporting families. Matousek highlights their commitment to building a strong community and providing comprehensive care across generations.
Looking ahead, Matousek hopes the Community Baby Shower will become an annual tradition, fostering connections and support among families in the community. Interested individuals can find more information on upcoming events through the clinic’s social media platforms.
