MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 48-year-old woman shot another woman outside a Miami-Dade County store on Saturday while accompanied by her two children in a stroller, authorities said.
Latrina Clarke was outside the 18th Ave Market, located along Northwest 66 Street in the Gladeview neighborhood, when she pulled out a gun and shot a woman in the chest, according to deputies.
The two women had been involved in an ongoing dispute, which escalated into an argument both inside and outside the market. Deputies reported that surveillance footage and witness statements support this.
After being shot, the victim fell onto the stroller. She managed to upright it, then walked away to seek help, a deputy noted in the report.
Clarke was arrested on Saturday afternoon. The victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment.
Clarke is facing charges of second-degree attempted murder with a deadly weapon and child abuse.
