Champaign Farm Seeks Volunteers to Care for Baby Goats

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery is calling for volunteers to assist with caring for baby goats during the upcoming kidding season.

The farm is offering opportunities for community members to bottle-feed, cuddle, and look after the animals. Volunteers can select from various time slots that fit their schedules, including morning cuddles at 6:15 a.m., midday bottle feeding at 11:15 a.m., and evening feeds at 4:15 p.m.

To prepare volunteers for their roles, Prairie Fruits Farm will hold orientation sessions starting in February. Those interested can sign up for a shift and find more information online.

Children aged 8 and older are welcome to volunteer with a parent or guardian, while 16- and 17-year-olds can participate independently with a signed waiver.
