A Moment of Crisis

In the essay, Trainor described having a panic attack during this challenging moment, feeling physically and emotionally drained. “I was having a panic attack and I was just over-exhausted, but I felt like I was dying,” she wrote. She explained that she felt unsafe holding her baby and feared passing out from exhaustion.

Supporting Other Moms

Trainor also explained why she decided to share her experience. She expressed her frustration with the expectation for mothers to appear fine, even when facing such struggles. “When I talk to other moms about it, I’m like, ‘Isn’t this traumatic and crazy?’” she said. “And we’re expected to walk around like we’re fine.” Trainor emphasized that sharing her story was important to remind other mothers they are not alone in their struggles.
