by daisy

A tragic incident unfolded in Reed City, Michigan, as a 4-month-old baby girl, Renzi McCall, was taken off life support and passed away on Wednesday. This followed charges of first-degree child abuse against 31-year-old Savannah Miller, as reported in court documents obtained by FOX 17.

Renzi’s family, devastated by the loss, described her as a vibrant and beloved member of their lives. Jeremiah White, Renzi’s grandfather, expressed deep sorrow over the alleged events leading to her death, recounting how he witnessed her unresponsive condition via FaceTime early one Sunday morning.

According to White, Renzi’s mother had been trying to enter their apartment after returning from work, and upon gaining entry, discovered her daughter with visible injuries. Renzi was subsequently airlifted to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, where medical efforts to save her were unsuccessful due to the severity of her injuries.

White emphasized the heartbreak of losing his granddaughter and urged parents to carefully consider who cares for their children, stressing the irreparable consequences of such tragedies.
