Woman Arrested Following Baby’s Cardiac Arrest at Legoland Windsor

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of neglect after a baby boy experienced cardiac arrest at Legoland Windsor on Thursday, according to police.

The incident, which occurred around 1 pm on May 2nd, left the five-month-old in critical condition, Thames Valley Police reported. The woman, aged 27 and from Witham in Essex, was taken into custody on Friday under suspicion of neglecting a child, causing unnecessary injury.

She has been released on bail until July 26th. Authorities have stated they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the events of Thursday. The child remains hospitalized, police confirmed.

Detective Constable Zoe Eele, from the police’s child abuse investigation unit, expressed concern over the incident, extending sympathies to the family of the affected child. Eele emphasized the ongoing investigation’s need for information, particularly from individuals who were queueing for the coastguard HQ boat ride between approximately 11:30 am and 12:45 pm on the day of the incident.
